There is a certain kind of magic and mystery that seems to permeate the atmosphere around the  Giant’s Causeway in County Antrim.  Surrounded at every turn by  hundreds of dramatic hexagonal structures that formed  through volcanic activity over 60 million years ago gives you a context for time and your own place in the world.

To top that there is the inevitable draw and intrigue of the Causeway’s myths and legends that have been passed on from generation to generation. It makes for a most incredible experience where I found my mind drifting and dreaming of the Giants  and their mighty battle in this breathtaking place of beauty.

Ruth Moloney’s uniquely joyous  collection of Irish landscape , people and nature are warm, sentimental and nostalgic. Her vibrant colour palette and loose style reflects the movement and beauty of her subjects while each piece tells its own story.
