The Victorian band stand on Dun Laoghaire Pier is an iconic structure where locals and visitors love to pause,  sit down and enjoy the stunning views.   If you are up very early on a summer’s morning you might be lucky enough to see the sun sparkle through the ornamental features casting beautiful shadows. And if you are very lucky you may even catch a live tune or two!   Peter Williams is a local Photographer well known for capturing stunning early morning sunrise and evening sunset shots in the Dun Laoghaire and Dalkey areas. He was very kind to allow me use one of his beautiful shots as a reference for this painting.

Ruth Moloney’s uniquely joyous  collection of Irish landscape , people and nature are warm, sentimental and nostalgic. Her vibrant colour palette and loose style reflects the movement and beauty of her subjects while each piece tells its own story.
