Whether it’s a first date or a forty-year wedding anniversary, Dun Laoghaire Pier has always been a favourite for romantic walks. “Winter Romance on The Pier” captures the love and companionship of a couple in their winter years on a winter’s day as they hold hands and continue their shared love of fresh air, sea views and each other.

Re-discovering our beautiful coastline has been one of the rare silver linings of the global pandemic. More and more Irish people have found joy and serenity from simply spending more time closer to the lapping sound of waves in the open sea.

Ruth Moloney is an Irish artist specialising in seascapes and bathers. Her vibrant colour palette and unique loose style reflects the movement and beauty of her subjects while each piece tells its own story.

Her fine art archival pigment prints are based on her original oil paintings which have been created using the impasto palette knife technique. Each print is mounted, framed and ready to hang. All prints are signed and titled by Ruth.
